Wasn’t really sure where this fit…

Has anyone ever heard of or worked with EarthTrek or the Gravestone Project?

If you have worked with them, I’m intrigued to hear your experience. I personally believe the current “geological only” restrictions of Earthcaches are too restrictive considering there is a wider range of sciences that could be of educational value in association with geocaching (environmental science, ecology, biology, botany, etc.). I’m hoping projects like this could be the opening needed to either widen the scope of the current requirements or to create a whole new classification of caches.

Knew of the Gravestone Project through the Geological Society, and went so far as to dig out our calipers…………………… But never clicked on another link that revealed the broader scope of projects laid out under EarthTrek. And we thought feeding data to the local weatherman was cool.

Thanks for digging this up for examination!
