Can someone tell me please, what is the easiest way to delete ALL waypoints from a gps, other than deleting them one by one? I have a Garmin Etrex Ledgend. I keep downloading more to GPS, but now I want to clean it up and get rid of all the ones I don’t need. 😕

I know that there are a couple of ways to do this but I don’t have it in front of me right now. I like to use the delete by icon/type(?) that way I can delete found caches and leave the not found and other waypoints for later.

Bring the GPS to the event on Saturday. I can show you there how to do it. I’m sure there will be plenty of others there to help as well.

Thanks Uncle_Fun, I will do that.
I know I’ll be slapping my forhead once you show me. See you there.

Barb02/25/2008 at 8:24 pm #1885152On a Garmin 60 CSx you would use the Find button to display all your waypoints, then use the menu button and select delete. It then prompts you with which type of waypoints to delete (or all). I am guessing the Legend will follow a similar procedure.
02/25/2008 at 10:03 pm #1885153reset all defaults. All your waypoint disappear. I found that out the hard way – twice.

The easiest way to delete them at one time would be to throw it out and buy a new one. You don’t even have to push any buttons. How easy is that? 😆
