While reading the 3/15/09 American Profile insert that comes with our newspaper, I found this article in the “Happenings” section. I looked online at American Profile, but could not find that section, so I will retype the short item here:
WISCONSIN
Easter Cache Hunt – Boulder Junction, April 11. search for 12 caches (treasures) with your GPS (Global Positioning System) during this event, also featuring lunch, prizes and wagon rides at Boulder Junction Winter Park. (715) 385-2400Anyone have more information?? I did not see this event listed on our events page, but sounds like fun for anyone in the area for Easter.

TE04/11/2009 at 9:26 pm #1904173This was a great event.. although they had 4 or 5 times as many people show up this year as last so ran out of soup and sandwiches. Also a handful of people were not at the shelter when names were drawn for prizes so quite a few missed out on their prizes.. including Rick Blick & Chick and a few others we know. Almost everyone got a t-shirt. We turned in our game card with all the key words on them and got a nice canvas bag filled with goodies, including a hat, can holder, key chain, pathtags, stickers, decals, tatoo of the hodag and lots of flyers filled with info on Rhinelander and Boulder Junction.
It was great to meet up with people who had never ever cached and wanted to learn. One lady held the GPSr over the can of eggs and said “wow, it is way off it says it it 17 feet away.” LOL!
It was also nice catching up with “old” cachers too.TE
