Easy GPS Newbie question

Ok, I downloaded EasyGPS. It downloads the waypoints into my gps unit just fine. However-for the names it downloads the waypoint number. Is there a way for me to change it to something else (like a cache name) before dumping it into the gps unit?

All you should have to do is go to the waypoint in question and click on it and then choose to edit it. There you can change the wpt name before you load it to the gps… Also, GSAK will do this for you if you want using “smartnames”… I believe Spinner will do this for you too(It’s been so long since I’ve used it)

I use GSAK for a lot of things, but I still prefer spinner and easy gps for uploading my waypoints. The waypoint names and symbols spinner makes are easier for me to read on the trails. Long cache names are still tough sometimes, but I can always figure them out.

Spinner can also be modified to make things appear how you want them. There is a little learning curve. Don’t be afraid to ask if you need help.
