Wow! Now I do not anticpate 5000, but you never know.
Congratulations to a fantastic team.

09/20/2005 at 2:47 pm #1757490Congrats!
Thanks for making #5000 on our daughter’s new cache (“Star Light Star Bright”, GCQEF8). She will be glad to hear that.Nice log entry …. I’m still laughing. How can you have not killed yourself getting to the spot where we hid the final AND THEN manage to back you car into the ditch at the parking lot! Too funny! (Folks – this is a real parking lot, with gravel and edging!)

09/20/2005 at 8:23 pm #1757491I couldn’t be happier for your group! Congrats on the new mega milestone!
09/20/2005 at 9:26 pm #1757492Thanks, Marc, Bushwhacking Queen, EnergySAver and Miata for the pat on the back. Here’s the ditch story.
It was 8:55pm, pitch black out. There are no lights in the parking lot. A truck was parked on the far side of the parking lot so I decided to do the “boogie manuever,” by staying on our half of the parking lot and thus, I backed right into the ditch. The muggles from the parked truck raced over and helped Professor and Bushwhacking push me out. Princess and Duelist thought it was hilarious. Well, there’s a first time for everything eh? Tami09/20/2005 at 9:35 pm #1757493I don’t suppose you happened to take photos?
Did you make a good size rut in the ground?
Maybe I could hide a cache in it and call it something like the “Ditch Run 5000”!09/21/2005 at 3:30 am #1757494We took two pictures. One of Bushwhacking Queen blazing a trail for us (and we almost lost here), and one of the family at ground zero, celebrating 5000. Sorry, none being in the ditch….the nature preserve closed and 9:00pm and we were very close to 9:00pm when we arrived at the car.
09/21/2005 at 10:46 am #1757495Some of the beast’s predictions are too conservative. A Big thumbs up, in awe!
09/21/2005 at 9:15 pm #1757496I must have missed one of your predictions Ray:
Tami ‘ditches’ out of geo-caching – ?
09/21/2005 at 9:39 pm #1757497Tami had some troubles figuring out how to upload a new image for their Profile Page.
So I helped her out, what do ya think?

09/22/2005 at 3:14 am #1757499Thanks Ron! I can still hear Bushwhacking Queen and Professor laughing loudly while viewing your “new” picture…..boy, someone has a lot of time on their hands? BTW how does one post a picture on a thread? LOL Tami

(1) You need to upload the picture somewhere. In my case I uploaded it to my WGA album space. It could be a photo upload to a geocache’s page or another source on the web.
(2) Then you simply include the full web address of the page (including http://) and it magically knows it’s a picture to link to.
09/22/2005 at 3:42 pm #1757501Beware … I’ve got a great idea for a Travel Bug now … where did my kids put the bag of plaster of paris. If you want to see the TB, you’ll have to come to my Oct. event or find it in the woods.
09/22/2005 at 4:06 pm #1757502Tami, why don’t you learn how to download waypoints to your GPS before you try pictures in a thread?
(Just a friendly suggestion.)
09/23/2005 at 1:26 am #1757503Why is everyone picking on me? If it wasn’t for geocaching, I’d still be in the “stone age” with my computer skills. Tami
I wanted to post some pictures on a thread for 100 on highway 100 and Bushwhacking Queen and I couldn’t figure it out.
Thanks Ron for the info on how to do it. -
