I was up there a couple of weeks ago and hiked one section. That took us a good three hours. I think it takes 5-6 hours to hike the entire thing. In some places there are defined trails; in other places you are following an overgrown logging road. It is pretty easy to navigate though. There are signs with trail maps at various locations so you can take a look and get a feel for where you are going. Hiking boots and plenty of water and probably a snack. And yes, there are bears….we saw one. So make sure you make plenty of noise as you are hiking. Beautiful area and you will enjoy immensely. PM if you want any other information.

We talked about this a couple years ago, but I have not been there since.
Did this a couple of years ago too…came in on a backroad from the west for some of them. which I don’t recommend…mark your vehicle on your gps if you do and plan on bushwacking. You might want to contact the CO and see if they are all still in play.
