At about 2 pm Rick was up by over 300. Now he is DOWN by 100! A 400 point swing in 4 hours???? I smell a rat.

Don’t know what Pennsylvania did, but he picked up at least an additional 200 votes today. He already has a vote count of 970 for the day. Our best daily vote count so far was 790.

We are going to have to double our efforts just to stay close! Thanks to all the geocachers putting out the word and gathering votes, we did maintain a lead until today. 13 days left . . . it’s going to be a long 13 days!

Thanks again for all the votes so far, and sorry if I don’t make it back here for an occasional update . . . I will be busy!

I got a few more people voting on the Michigan geocaching forums. LadyTBee posted this over there:

It looks like the two Ricks are going to be neck in neck. One guy said he has 4 accounts voting for that other Rick. I wonder if he will get disqualified for that. I was voting for a dog to be included in a magazine article last year. One of my “bad dog buddies” The magazine editors found out about the other dog voting irregularites and that dog was booted out of the contest.

I have several email accounts but am only using one to vote for him

I’ll keep working the MIGO forums and try to solicit a few more votes.

I posted the voting link to a radio station’s facebook page (WYTE in Plover). It would be a big shot in the arm if we could get the media to help us out.

The kids must be bored they’ve added over 100 votes to the “Other” Rick in the last 30 minutes and the number keeps going up

It’s just a shame to see the level of cheating that appears to be going on here. To be up by 300 votes one day, then down by 500 votes just over 24 hours later, does not make any sense. A NET difference of 800 votes, when that’s far and above what the gross total of votes had been a day before?

Something smells in Pennsylvania.
