if I could find where to vote I would vote yes to logging temp caches because I play the way I want and every one else can play there own way .IF YOU WANT TO LOG TEMPS DO IT IF NOT DON’T BUT DON’T TELL ME HOW TO DO IT.
really this topic makes me mad just like anything else where someone is telling me what and how to do some thing this is falling just short of becoming a Communist game where it is dictated by Hitler .I have not gone to the last few WGA events because of this .I go to make finds and have fun and then there is those that go to tell me how to have fun and how to log what I find .there should be a separate way to log temp caches not put in as attended event.for those of you that want to send me hate mail about this and you know who you are go ahead tell me how to play tell me what to do tell me when to get up tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me.
Until this is resolved which means we have to give in to those that make the most stink about this then the WGA SHOULD PUT ALL EVENTS ON HOLD THAT HAVE TEMP CACHES.
one last thing it doesn’t have to do with temp caches but I adopted a cache Omaha to Alabama there is a post on there it says (come on shrek really a micro) I didn’t put this cache out but someone is telling me how to do it and what kind of container it should be thanks PC FROG for that post.
now I am more mad than when I started this post.
I think we should vote on doing away with temp caches that way there wont be a fight about this any more just have the WGA event and no caches involved. This was suppose to be under voting yes for temp caches can a mod move this thanks

Just look to the left under the Main Menu and click on Referendums.

Tami 😀Maybe the teacher needs a class on how to maneuver around this site. If you weren’t out so often hunting temporary caches you might know how to do it.
These two sentences took me 20 minutes to compose. I kept falling out of my chair from laughing so hard!
Everyone should be proud of us though, the event we’re going to next weekend doesn’t have any temps. Or did you cancel when you found out about that?

04/04/2008 at 6:16 am #1887413Hey all,
Let’s try to do our best to keep our posts civil and friendly, even if we disagree with other folk’s position on this controversial topic. Remember, this is just a game, and we are all friends here, who enjoy the same sport and getting out finding tupperware in the woods.
I knew that this referendum had the potential for upsetting folks, folks on both side of the issue. That is one reason that I am hoping that we can get as much discussion going as possible. If we hash it out good this time, let folks vote on it, maybe we can put this issue to rest, one way or the other. I too do not care to flog this horse much longer, and would like to put the issue to bed.
So I encourage folks to post their thoughts, no matter what they may be. Just please do so without taking shots at our other friends.
thanks,
zuma

Oh! Did I forgot to mention I have 12 temp caches out for the two events?
04/04/2008 at 2:27 pm #1887415I want to apologize for using this forum for a personal banter with Tami. My post reply to her was meant as a joke as we are good friends (I think) and proponents of logging temps. I’ll use personal messaging in the future. I’ll also have to stop reading the posts on this subject so I stop getting irritated. What bothers me is that this is the way I was taught to geocache and I enjoy the way I have done it. Our first day out in January of 2007 we met Tami on a trail. We also met Puzzler and Mindfree the same day. We thought we would be meeting everyone by spring after that day (LOL). Tami probably doesn’t remember it, but she told us about the Winter Janboree which became the beginning of our exposure to temporary caches. Then we met Auntienae and she teaches us how to log temps. This is where the subject starts at the top. Experienced geocachers and the WGA contributed to the creation of this Wisconsin geocaching culture and the key to solving it lies in re-educating. I will still attend quality events even if there are no temporary hides. I would like to see new placements of more permanent hides in conjunction with events. The problem will never be solved in these forums and I would like to see the WGA take up some type of in person approach to it. I think it needs to be done in conjunction with but outside of the total responsibility of the board. It has been contributed to by all of us and the whole burden of addressing the issue should not have to rest solely on the board members.

So being the owner, will you allow multiple logs on the events?
And please tell me they are not all puzzles… 🙂
04/05/2008 at 3:29 am #1887417Thanks for having a “sense of humor” Mr. GreenThumb aka Bill. 😆 Now to clarify… and I do apologize that I still don’t know how to quote someone (go ahead and laugh somemore)…
1) he (Bill) was just poking a little fun at me for not knowing you had to go to the Referendums to find where to vote. I’m okay with that (smiles). 😀
2) we (Bill & Tami) are attending EnergySavers event NEXT weekend (not this weekend) and there will only be permanent caches to hunt.
Hope this clears everything up to those of you who were confused?
Bill did e-mail me on the side….he’s such a nice guy! 8)
Tami 😛
Marc…go ahead and poke fun at me too! 😯 I can take it!
