Here is a picture of every WGA pathtag ever made.  It does not include geocoins (minted in 2005-2017), wooden nickels (2017), and Cachekinz (2013).  At most WGA events one can purchase pathtags for $3.  They’re collectable, inexpensive, and make great souvenirs.

Dozens of WGA members have created their own personal pathtags for trading, collecting, or dropping off as swag.  You can see them all at http://www.pathtags.com.  They cost significantly less than a geocoin, and are logged at the pathtags.com website.  Unlike geocoins, if you find a pathtag in a geocache as swag, you can keep it!  If you ever order your own pathtags don’t forget to tag them with “WGA” so that they show up in an online search at the pathtags.com website.  Most WGA members that have created their own personal pathtags have them tagged with “WGA” so that they will be grouped with all other WGA-member pathtags.  I know of maybe only 5 or 6 that likely didn’t know about tagging and therefore their pathtags don’t show up in a search for WGA members.  Just type in “WGA” (without the quotation marks) in the gallery search box at pathtags.com, then select WGA in the “gallery keywords” link to see them.

Again, here are all the WGA-issued pathtags over the years (not the personal WGA-member ‘tags):

Note that the above two WGA Board of Directors pathtags (2016 & 2017) are technically not WGA tags, since the BOD members personally created/purchased them with their own funds rather than the WGA’s funds.

A note to the BOD – the state park pathtags and the 2016 Cache Ba$h breakfast pathtag do not have the WGA tag on them, so currently they won’t show up in the search.  Someone with access will need to edit them at the pathtags site.

    Thanks for the update Hack1of2!

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

“Technically” the WGA BOD tag is not a WGA pathtag, as it was produced by the individuals board and not funded by the WGA. Just making a statement.

Ones I am missing: 2011 Campout, 2011 Picnic, 2014 Cache Bash Breakfast, State Parks Complete (6 more to go).

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
