I have a burning desire to create a real test for our fellow geocachers… Not a physical test, but rather a test of ability to locate a cache. If you would be interested in being a part of a team to create such a cache please reply to this post with your caching name, I will get back to you to arrange a team meeting. Ray [the Beast].

Which begs the question, where the heck has Artopsy been???

I got a find log on our Cache in the Bluff in Door County a day ago from Artopsy, so he must be on vacation.

T&B, I’m going to turn down your offer to join the design team for the simple reason that I can’t wait to hunt it when it goes live!

    Hi T&TB,

I had an idea for a cache a while back, or should I say a series of increasingly difficult caches, that you may be interested in. Truth of the matter is, the final, most difficult of the caches has been hidden for about 5 months now However, I halted work on the concept a while back for a few reasons. I also had a completely different idea the other day that may fit the description of what you are trying to do, and because of the nature of the cache, having a group of people involved may be a good idea. Let me know if you’d be interested in hearing either cache concept.

We would love to have you on board for this Thraxman, Steve and Happy that cachecows is waiting for the rollout. Who else?

I would love to help put this together with you. After all I have experience in creating a cache that has stumped most people. (You Can’t Be Serious!, and yes I know that it is temporarily archived due to the fact that the first clue has gone missing) Count me in!

It sounds like fun. Like CacheCows, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

For my part, over the past week I’ve been working on setting up my version of a tough geocache… the physical type. I’m still working on the final details. Here’s a sneak preview…. it’s designed to be a hunted via bicycle or on foot. If there is an avid cyclist out there who would like to beta test the hunt for me, please let me know. Total trip length will be about 25 miles.

I believe we have assembled a large enough crew to get this going..
Suggestions for a date/time/location to meet will be taken at [email protected]
Ken, Cachecows, thanks for the encouragement.

Your son-in-law had some very interesting ideas too. Talk to him. I liked his coordinates idea.

Ken, how far from janesville will this cache be? If it isn’t across the state, I might be willing to give it a test run. It would also depend on the terrain type. I haven’t done any rough-terrain mountain biking for a couple years, but I would love a 25 mile ride if the terrain is paved or easy to moderate dirt trails.

It will be in Ozaukee County. And it will be mostly on a paved trail, with some streets. Designed for road bikes, but of course you could use a mountain bike also but no mountain bike type trails.

We [T&TB] have been working on it, assembling ideas, materials, etc. Some parts are in place but don’t look for any postings before spring. The objective has become to create a multicache with an overall difficulty level of 4/1 to 5/2. Wh want to be able to keep some family involvement.
