I know it’s late notice, but I hope all of you will take a look at an event we have planned for this coming Saturday, February 19. Here is the short description:
Learn to ski, snowshoe and geocache, all in one afternoon, at Fallen Timbers Ski and Showshoe event. Located in Seymour, Wisconsin, the 456-acre property will have temporary cashes for visitors to find. Experienced geocachers will enjoy other permanent caches nearby.
Check out the website for more details:

How are the snow conditions as of today?

02/18/2005 at 9:40 pm #1737755Yes, I’m sorry, but I missed the deadline to have this listed on geocaching.com. I’m hoping for this to become an annual event. I’ll be honest, the snow conditions aren’t great, however I spoke w/ the director of Fallen Timbers, and she said they do have snow deeper in the woods. Quite frankly, I think hiking is going to be the best way to go. It’s a neat place . . . and free food! Hope you can make it!

02/19/2005 at 5:57 am #1737756I have to work that weekend, but if this is an annual event will try for next year. Am an avid snowshoer and dragged my hubby to the upper penninsula to geocache in January.
02/20/2005 at 1:34 am #1737757Princess and Earth Angel attended this unique event today. We passed on the snow shoes and skiis and hiked the 10 finds. We escorted a father and daughter team. It was there first experience with geocaching and I’m sure they will be doing more once they purchase a GPS of their own. This Fallen Timbers Environmental Center is dynamite. I’m hoping more will attend this event next year. The weather was awesome and we all had a great time. Thanks for the yummy chili and brownies. Thanks for the door prize as well. Tami and Tait
