I am working on family activities for the event. If anyone would like to help me get some put together please send me a PM asap. At this point I am thinking a nicely stocked “Kids Cache” – perhaps setup as a short multi-cache near the main event pavilion. Looking for other family activities. The idea is to get families participating together, not leaving their kids at the pavilion. Thanks, Shane (cheeto)

Cheeto From being at the park on Saturday, I can tell you there is a LOT of water around that area. We will be technically on the beach .. water in front .. and a swampy area behind the parking area. Sandcastle contest if it is warm? I did hide 1 permanent cache in the genera area .. tried for a second but ran into .. water .. there is not a lot of heavy tree cover or ground cover for that matter ..

Event schedule updated to include some Family activities. My wife and I will be organizing some family activities including:
 – A nature scavenger hunt – find and collect items as you hike and cache around the park during the day on Saturday. Turn in the I.D. sheet at the pavilion at 4:30pm and receive a prize!
 – 11:00am – 11:30am – Family Arts & Crafts projects for all ages. Kids bring your parents!
 – 4:30pm – 5:00pm – Family Arts & Crafts Projects for all ages.
 – All day Saturday, a “kid’s stash” stocked cache will be available for families to hunt and take an item from the cache.
There will be Storytelling at the bonfire Saturday night. At the pancake breakfast Sunday morning we will have candy jar guessing for a chance to win the full jars. Winners announced at 10am Sunday. Must be present to win!
