Now that the State of Mind series has been archived, I thought it would be fun to know how many people finished the series and take an informal poll of people’s favorite cache of the series. Will it be the great view at Idaho? Or the old helicopter at Wisconsin? Or the car wreck at Arkansas? Or how about the deviousness of Pennsylvania waypoint #1? Or that strange rock wall at Oregon? Or the graveyard (and parking challenge) at Louisiana? And how could I forget the urban cache at Alaska? It will be hard to choose just one, so vote for 2! Please post: how many in the series you found, your two favorites, and a few words as to why they are your favorites. I’ll compile the statistics here.

Put me down for Louisiana. Not only did it take me two trips to find it (the only one I had to go back for), but finding the right parking space was a challenge as well. I just loved those woods behind St Francis Seminary. The nearby cemetery was interesting and the large cross was awesome.

For a second favorite..it would be a tough call. I guess my next favorite would’ve been where the ‘old’ Delaware was once hidden before it was sucked up (down) by the tree. I searched for it on a whim and was unsuccesful, but I enjoyed the trek out to the river from the trail. To be honest..I enjoyed the entire 56 caches that I searched for..Texas being my first find and Colorado being the last official (Rehidden Kentucky the unofficial) find. Thanks again to everyone involved in putting this series together. It will be a tough act to follow.

For me it’s not even a close call! Idaho was far and above my most favorite SOM Series Cache. The view is incredible and the day I was there it was bright and sunny and the lake was dotted with Sail Boats. Actually sat on the bench at the top of the hill for awhile and just enjoyed the moment. I managed to complete ALL 50 of the caches.
