Sorry for the delay in getting these posted. I had a few personal items to attend to, including my wedding and honeymoon.
Here are the minutes from the WGA Board meeting.
WGA Board Meeting
Feb. 27, 2005
Madison, WI
The meeting was called to order at 11 a.m. at Biaggi’s Restaurant with Board President Brian Jansen presiding. Members and guests present were:

Jeremy Vechinski (webmaster guest)The meeting began with introductions, followed by a welcome to the newly elected board members. Presentation was made to the three outgoing board members. The board then elected officers. A motion was made and approved to elect the following officers for one-year terms:
Brian Jansen, president
Rhonda Veroeven, vice president
Ken Braband, secretary
Brian Geoffrey, treasurerReports
Steve Bukosky presented the treasurer’s report, reporting that the WGA has approximately $1,500 cash in its checking account. Jeff Thorson presented the secretary’s report. He reported that the WGA has received articles of incorporation from the state and we are recognized by the federal IRS with a Employee Identification Number. We are still awaiting return of our application as a non-profit corporation, which was submitted in November, 2004.Campout Planning
Two group campsites are reserved for the 2005 Geo-Campout to be held at Lake Wissota State Park May 20 through May 22. Discussion was held for organizing committees and volunteers. Rhonda will serve as campout chairperson, with Ruth as vice-chair and Brian J., and Jeff R. as committee members. Jeff L. and Ray H. will lead the pancake breakfast committee. Ken is heading the campout T-shirt project. (See addendum to these minutes below.) It was agreed to set group campout fees at $8 per family per night. Geoff will set up a PayPal account to receive payments for camping fees and the optional campout T-shirts. CacheCows will once again set up a special Friday night geocache hunt.Webmasters’ Presentation
Jeremy presented a proposal for upgrading the WGA web site. Possible new features were discussed, including a single sign-in for WGA membership and the WGA forums. Ray volunteered to serve as the membership auditor to check residence eligibility of those who register as WGA members.Talks with Land Managers
Brian reported on current status of a Wisconsin DNR geocaching policy. A meeting with the DNR will be scheduled soon. It was agreed that the WGA should work to create a permission form for cache approval by the DNR so it can be posted on the WGA web site.
Rhonda reported that progress has been slow on getting a geocaching policy approved by the City of Madison. She continues to pursue contact with Madison parks officials.The meeting was adjourned at approximately 2:15 p.m.

Addendum: In discussion following the meeting, Rhonda asked that Brian chair the campout committee. Brian agreed to do so. Rhonda will continue to serve on the committee with the other named members. -
