Just a thought! Why not designate February as Cache Maintenance Month?

Oh sure, all of the geocache hiders try to maintain the geocaches throughout the year. Why not designate a month for a little more than ordinary TLC? Refresh the containers, renew the logs, reexamine geocaching path ways provide new trade items.

Get those caches ready for the next season of geocaching.

    Outstanding Idea Randy !

It’s also a Good opportunity to dig out your caches and make them findable in the winter again

Yeah Randy, I see a couple people have been having some difficulty with the Devil’s Tea Table in the snow. Can’t imagine why….

Great IDEA! And while you are out there…plant another one to encourage others to get out and enjoy what Wisconsin has to offer in the dead of winter. Tami

February slid past to fast – but Randy has a great idea for cache maintenance. I did 4 of my 9 active ones today and plan to finish by end of March. It felt really good to visit these personal hides – I am happy I placed them where I did!

Why not try: GCJTHM, GCJTHN, GCGWAV AND GCJD5G?

Another great day to be outside – Geocaching!

I love the idea of cache maintainance, however, I think you want to have it late enough in the year so that there is no snow and ice. Many of the caches I have done in the last week have been either frozen to the ground, under ice or under water. Maybe April or May would be better. It may also tie into people doing this when they are out scouting areas for new caches.
