Hi all!
I’ve been caching for a while now but just now get around to registering with WGA. A friend from Milwaukee introduced me to geocaching two years ago and I’ve been at it ever since.
I’ve met a few cachers here and there face to face but for most of you, if you recognzie me at all, it’s probably just as a name that appears in the cache logs and, likewise, that’s how I know you.
I like most any cache type…traditionals, multis, puzzles, challenges, boxes in the woods, urban micros. Micros in the woods?….Ok, maybe not so much but I still look!
I have yet to place any caches though this is something I’m interested in. I have an array of containers and such all set to go. I just haven’t quite pulled the trigger yet…nerves.
I’ve recently discovered the joy that is “pathtags” and I’m currently having an uproariously good time stumbling through designing one. I think I’m attracted to them because they bring some of my interests together into a nice neat little package….geocaching….art…creativity etc… And, now where does this lead? I’m starting to look at things like geocoins and the medals that I get at various running events and I can see that they’re designed via the same basic process and I’m thinking, “Gosh, I could have a much bigger canvas here…”
So, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it (for now). I hope to see you all out there!

(Ckayda)08/15/2014 at 12:48 am #1976738Welcome to the WGA! I don’t know much about pathtags or designing, so I can’t be much help there. But some who frequent the site do and some are even in your area. I may see you at an event or posting here online. Keep having fun! 🙂
08/17/2014 at 3:53 am #1976739I don’t know much about pathtags either, but user “sweetlife” who frequents the forums knows quite a bit.

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
08/17/2014 at 4:01 pm #1976741Hi Ckayda. Welcome to the WGA. Look for beccaday to be showing up in logs in your area soon as she is making the move from Waukesha to Eau Claire.

08/24/2014 at 2:56 am #1976743Ok, yes, apparently “beccaday” is quite well connected and, while I’ve never met her, it appears as though her and I do have a mutual non-caching acquaintance so we very well could cross paths. I’ll watch for her!
08/25/2014 at 2:22 am #1976744Did someone mention my name? 😆 Welcome to the WGA! I look forward to meeting you at an event in the future and maybe I’ll run into you out on the trails in Eau Claire.
