gotta run.. you are hilarious. ๐
05/01/2009 at 4:36 pm #1906885Someone from GC.com contacted the lister – according to the log book the owner is Cheeseheads. Now why would they let a perfectly good looking cache like that go missing?

That is only because the cache is going to be delivered in person to the Wausau CITO tomorrow, to be raffled off. See ya there.

Ok – now I need to tell my wife that she doesn’t need to come to this event! ๐

Based on the information I was able to glean before the listing was pulled, I have no idea what cache this is. They gave November of 2005 as the first log, and I don’t have any Illinois finds in that month, nor do I have/had any caches that were hidden then, either.
Scam?
05/04/2009 at 4:35 pm #1906893here is the post that I read regarding the owner of the cache:
I sent the E-Bay listing owner a message, and they replied. I copy/pasted their reply to The Cheeseheads:
Hi, This is Clan Riffster from Fl, Found this on E-Bay it may be yours.

It’s a plastic container, about the size of a breadbox. The contents are numerous & varied . . . . probably 20 รขโฌโ 25 items plus the logbook. There’s some scribbling on the inside cover from “The Cheeseheads”, but I can’t make out the numbers. The first entry was in Nov. 2005 then another 18 pages. The typical entry has a date & time, some cryptic message & what was exchanged. That’s it. Sorry, I can’t supply more information. McKeever
