Welcome to the new WGA website.
A couple things I encourage you do to:
- Check your profile and membership information. (Click on Your Account in the Main Menu.) Look at your association status (should be WGA Member if you are a member) and membership expiration date. I was very cautious not to lose any data in the switchover, but you never know…
- Enter your geocaching.com profile link into the member info form. (Main Menu -> Your Account -> Member Info.) When you do this, you get a little gc.com icon on your posts (look above, next to “profile”, “quote”, etc.) that people can click on to view your gc.com profile. With this profile link entered, we’ll also pick up recent logs for you when you are out of state and you can put your geocaching.com status image in your profile (see Main Menu -> Your Account -> Preferences to enable this).
- Upload an avatar like the picture of Bugs to the left of this post. (Main Menu -> Your Account -> Avatar.) The avatars will help people visually identify who is making post in the forums (plus they are tres cool 8)).
- Enter your state / county / country statistics again if you are into that. (Main Menu -> State/County Stats.) They are now being stored in a database so I promise this is the last time you’ll need to do this. 🙂

My goal is to have the WGA site be the premier/best/greatest/ultimate geocaching organization website anywhere. We were the “leader” 4 years ago. This upgrade doesn’t put us back on top, but it does put us in a position where we can add upgrades and features to get there.
