Who will be the first geocacher to hide a cache on the Fonz?

Preview with the artist (from Watertown newspaper)The statue is to be dedicated Tuesday in Milwaukee.
I promise to contribute upwards of $5 to the legal fund of the geocacher that is FTH.08/19/2008 at 1:53 am #1894584I was just going to research this tonight. I was going to see where it was placed and make sure that there were no caches nearby.
I was going to call it……”JUMP THE SHARK“

I remember that one. Richie tried talking the Fonz out of jumping the sharks and said, “If you get your legs bitten off, don’t come running to me!” I loved that line.
08/19/2008 at 4:28 am #1894586I thought “jump the shark” was a term applied to that point in a popular tv show when it was on the decline? In fact, I think there’s a website by that name where people debate what that point is for different shows!
Yup, here it is.
08/19/2008 at 5:54 am #1894587What they don’t tell you on that website (unless I missed it) is that the origin of that expression is the specific “Happy Days” episode referenced above. After that episode, most people thought the show had run out of ideas.
08/19/2008 at 1:51 pm #1894588I looked for that reference. That site tells you everything else, go figure.
I don’t remember that particular episode of Happy Days myself, but then again, there are lots of things I don’t remember these days!08/19/2008 at 2:56 pm #1894589In Milwaukee, it’s been the talk all morning on the radio as the dedication is today. And then this evening, the the majority of the original cast, except Ron Howard, will be at the Brewer game. Fonzy gets to throw out the first pitch and Potsy is going to sing the National Anthem.
The interesting thing about the Jumping the Shark episode is that Happy Days remained the number one show for 5 more years. Strange kind of decline.
08/19/2008 at 11:38 pm #1894590Well at least fonzie and potsie being in milwaukee is more news worthy than anything the packers are doing.
08/20/2008 at 4:45 pm #1894591Wiki article about jumping the shark that talks about Happy Days.
Garry Marshall even talks about it.
