We attended a non published caching event put on by non-cachers up in the UP today. They have many kinks to work out in marketing etc and are willing to learn more. We arrived too late because we were given the wrong info to do most of the caches. We did get 2 of them and still qualified for prizes. We won a $35 gift certificate for dinner which we used tonight, a hat from the Fort and a $5 gf for Taco Bell. We also met some people very interested in caching, including the ranger. They also provided hot dogs, hot cider, coffee and marshmallows for any who wanted them. Overall it was a lot of fun and we are looking forward to it being an event next year. So mark your calendars to head up to the Keweenaw the last weekend in Sept next year for a fun event that should even give you a few smileys. Great views of the colors and the Lake.
