In the past we could see how many times a post was viewed. Sometimes a post needs little response but at least if we could see how many times it was viewed then we know it is being seen.

With thousands of page views by search bots and page scrapers, counting views of any single post would be pointless.
Knowing what the bots are crawling would be worthless but knowing what members are viewing would not be.

With dozens of brand new bots and scrapers hitting the net every month, it would not be possible to tell the difference unless all members log in, which is not the case.
Is it possible to bring back the “posts since your last visit” feature like the old web site. I liked that better than the Recent Posts by topic list we have now. It seems there are only about a dozen topics kept on that list.
I might be able to hack together the “posts since last visit” functionality. Right now, the system doesn’t even track you last visit… That’ll be the hard part. I would have to update your “last visit date” every time you view a page. Let me think on that one for a bit.
