Found an unknown cache on UWO…

Hello

Today while I was on a walk during my lunch break, I found a cache hidden behind Dempsey Hall that I was not aware of. When I opened it, it was named “Kirk Geocache” with only Team Margaritaville signing it in July 2007 (I believe). I replaced it, but will remove it if that needs to happen.

I did a search, but can’t find anything about this cache. Does anyone know anything about this one? It doesn’t list who hid it or when.

I am planning to do a series on the UWO campus and wanted to make sure this was an out of play one. It looks that way to me, but wanted to double check.

Looks like 54 people found it including Kirk F 3 days after Team Margaritaville.

I emailed Team Margaritaville and he indicated that he thought it was part of a Geocaching camp last summer. Well…my son was part of that camp so I asked him. Yep, sure sounds like it was one that didn’t get cleaned up after the camp.

Gonna double check with the head of the camp to make sure.
