“While few of us were paying attention, GPS users created a new…well, they call it sport, but “high-tech treasure hunt” might be a better description. While geocaching has been generally derided since its birth a couple of years ago, in practice it’s oddly amusing. Someone conceals a plastic box with, say, a key chain, a lottery ticket, and a Barbie doll inside, then posts the longitude and latitude online. Another player then locates the cache using a GPS unit, removing and item and leaving something else in its place. Caches are listed by zip code at http://www.geocaching.com.”
Sounds like it was written by someone who has never been geocaching to me!
