I know I saw a post here on what FRS channel we are using this weekend, but my search came up empty.
Can anyone tell me what channel we are using?
Not sure that it matters but I have Cobra PR4700WX’s
7. Its on the cache listing, not the forum.
We will probably be using the FRS repeater again, provided I can find a good location to place it.
The repeater records your radio transmission, then plays it back the instant you stop transmitting. It takes a little getting used to but it has the ability to double your range potentially.

No wonder I could not find it here. I knew I saw it somewhere. Thanks!
While 7 is the “official” WGA FRS channel, there has been an optional channel (I believe it’s channel 13) that has become known as the “no whining” channel. A couple years back there was an issue with teams transmitting hints to other teams that were having difficulties locating some of the hides. It seems certain “oversensitive” people had a problem with hints being broadcast over the air. Hence the “no whining” channel was born. Feel free to monitor both channels, but use the underground channel for requesting and transmitting clues. Personally I think if a team has an issue with hints being broadcast, there’s a knob on your radio called the on/off switch, but that’s just me.
