I was wondering over lunch time about cross listed caches and FTF claims.

    FTF’s
Is it one FTF per listing site? Or just the FTF for whichever site listed it first? Or something else?

    Found It
How about “Found It” for cross listed caches. Should we log it on all sites and count it 3 times (GSAK appears to accept it as 3 different caches). Just log it once?

Just curious what others think or plan to do.

FTF should be who signed the LOG first, shouldnt matter what sites its on.

I think I can safely speak for both myself and the other half of our team….the one who enjoys a FTF quite a lot. It really doesn’t matter…honest. He would even say that. It’s a fun number that doesn’t mean anything, really, other than the fact that the chances are good you found it exactly as the owner intended. This is Trekkin’s motivation for seeking a cache first. As far as I know, other than the various stat generators, who found it first isn’t a number that is recognized officially. There is not an icon for FTF.

As Trekkin’ would say, in the end it’s fun to be the first, but mostly, we just want to find ’em.

For us, as letterboxers as well, we usually log any hybrids on both sites. I am not opposed to the current “competition,” but don’t plan to complicate my own life further by creating yet another profile and password I have to try and remember.

For my one that’s listed on both sites I put a note on the GC one after it published and considered the ftf a co-find for that site. Seemed only fair as alot of folks haven’t heard of the other one.
