I know this topic has been talked about to death, and there are so many threads out there already (which I’ve read most of), but I’m finally making the switch from using my iPhone to a GPS unit. I’m leaning towards a Garmin, and am looking for recommendations on current units you liked, or didn’t like. I don’t really want to spend more than $300, that may even be a little high, but that’s what I have to play with right now. Thanks for any info you can give!

If you can find a 450 series this is awesome and should be in your price range. Touch screen, good reception, easy navigation, intuitive design. If you can find this discontinued model it will be in the $200 price range.
Some also like the Garmin 62 with the little antennae giving better reception and that should fall in the $240 range.
Garmin 600 series Oregon had great screen, very bright but IMHO there seems to be more lag time between what I consider “good” coords. Sometimes it takes a bit to settle in while your caching buddies are 20 ft away signing the log.
Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Garmin website, and somewhat narrowed it down to the Etrex 30, GPSMAP 64S, or the Oregon 600. I’ll have to see if I can find the 450 series though.
