A friend on mine bought a map72
I don’t know how old it is but when I tried to delete some of the old waypoints there was no delete function on the gps
does anyone have one of these and had this problem
I’m going to assume that it’s the same as for our “guest” GPSr, which is a GPS72 (minus the Map).
I think your problem is that your assuming that like some other Garmin models you can delete the waypoints in mass from the [Goto] button’s screen(s). This is NOT the case, with the 72.
From a “normal” screen, press [Menu], then [Menu] again … then scroll down to “Points” (short for Waypoints), and hit [enter] … then select “Waypoints” and hit [enter]. Now lets stop for a second … I bet your thinking that your at the exact same screen you’d have been if you had started out with the [Goto] button … but your not … your at a more advanced version screen. So now from this screen (which should be showing all your waypoints), press the [Menu] key … you should now see the choices of deleting a single waypoint, or all waypoints, or waypoints of a specific symbol type.
thanks for the info I will give this a try
