I know it depends on the model, but in general, how soon does Garmin have the typical map update come out after a major road construction is completed like a bypass or new exit ramps for example?

I just updated the maps on my Nuvi 205 last week and figured they would have the Peshtigo and Oconto bypass construction updated since the construction was finished last November.

I found out today that the construction is still not in the update after I went to Oconto and the Nuvi was going bonkers, thinking I was not driving on a road.

It did have the US 141 construction update on it (from Crivitz to US 41) and I believe that was completed a couple years ago.

    Thanks 🙂

I was just looking at Mapsource. I have City Nav 2008. and 2010.2, 24K topo Northeast, topo 2008 and wisc topo. Wisconsin topo is the free maps and 2010 have an intersection in town that has been there for more than 6 years. The 24K which is new does not have it. Sometimes they are very slow in updating the maps. New updates come out every 3 months.

I know down in Milwaukee on the new Marquette interchange my nuvi is way off.

That interchange was done a long time ago. I guess I’ll have to deal with Garmin’s inability to put out updates quicker.
