I have firefox (3.6.12) and it displays a search page for me when I visit. There’s a log a cache button. And a geocaching guide button. No time to explore this morning..

I’m running the same version and I get only the splash…not even a refresh/reload helps…wierd.

Also I wonder where they are getting the caches already on the system from??? Look at the date this cache was listed:

Interesting. It appears that the “Awesomeness” rating is set by the owner, not by the finders. For some reason, I can’t sign up today.

The awesomeness was set by default at 3.5 with no action from me; I didn’t even see an option for setting it. The site is very buggy with many actions taking multiple refreshes to get to work correctly…it is still Beta.

I signed in using my Garmin password information…which I had previously set up for use on Garmin’s main page.

I noticed that at least one of the MN ones was a cache that was posted on gc.com that I found in 2008, so it looks like some are just importing gc.com caches.

It looks like you can add caches from GC to the site. YOU can transfer EVERYTHING over. Or so it seems

To list mine I used the IMPORT feature and uploaded a GPX of my GC listed geocache. I did have to make edits though the import included only the most basic information (and no cache description). The GC number has also been kept intact as the ID number with the “GC” stripped and an “OX” put in it’s place. But mine submitted today has the current date on it.

Oh, are they in for a shock. An open API? I think I can smell their servers smoking already.

This is going to cost them hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollers a year to build and maintain. They must really have it bad for GC.

either the mods haven’t approved any or the entire caching community is standing around slack-jawed not knowing what to think

😛 Does “Opie the Mascot” have an aunt named Bea??? A dad named Andy, and a bumbling deputy friend who goes by the name of Barney??? Does Floyd the barber cut his hair??? 🙄

I just noticed this…. One of the most frustrating hints ever used in our area is listed as a difficulty rating on here.

I enjoyed Jeremy Irish’s Facebook status post yesterday. Anyone else notice?
