That is a big 2 as in $2.29. I thought Trudy and the Beast were getting a good deal a few weeks ago on their Route 66 trip when they found gas for $3.06
Filled up for less than $20–haven’t done that in ages. 😀 😀 😀 Think we got 7.5 gallons.
11/01/2008 at 2:40 am #1759701My wife filled up in the Twin Cities for $2.06 a Gal. $2.55 here in Hayward.
11/01/2008 at 11:24 am #1759702We filled the tank yesterday at 2.28 but saved even more by using our Mobil Platinum card and taking a $.15/gallon rebate. We had been getting a 5% on our discover, but couldn’t pass up the Mobil deal. BP has an introductory rebate program offering a 10% rebate that reverts to 2% after 90 days. As long as I keep paying the balance I can avoid their 19.9% interest rates.
11/01/2008 at 3:37 pm #1759703Hey Beast, with Mobile’s new record quarterly profits, they should be giving you a $1.50/gal. rebate.
11/02/2008 at 9:28 pm #17597042.25 yesterday at the Phillips 66 between wittenberg and birnamwood
plus .03 off per gallon if you pay cash
2.22 is cheepest we have seen in a while

11/03/2008 at 1:40 am #1759705I read about a case in Lyons, where the station owner accidentally entered 0.59 instead of 3.59 for the price of diesel. 3 hours later when they realized their mistake, they discovered they had sold over 1000 gallons. They normally sell around 200 gallons of diesel per day.
11/03/2008 at 10:26 pm #1759706I saw two stations today in Milwukee at $2.15/gallon for regular unleaded. Both were on Brown Deer road between 76th street and 107th street.
11/03/2008 at 10:51 pm #1759707still $2.38 in Oconomowoc…we are always on the high end.
11/04/2008 at 12:27 am #1759708Still $2.39 in Wausau area but 10 cents cheaper in Stratford/Marshfield.
11/04/2008 at 3:19 pm #1759709$2.25 in Green Bay this morning. Can we make it under two dollars??

Here it is – Mobil, 108th & Oklahoma (West Allis), $2.00/gal at 9:00 Thursday night – $.15/gallon rebate is $1.85 and prices are still dropping. 😀
11/07/2008 at 5:35 pm #1759711I hope it doesn’t get any lower. The pain we are all going to feel when the price doubles again is going to be twice as hard to take as it was the first time around.
I certainly enjoy filling the tank for under $40 again, don’t get me wrong. But it is going to go back up as the economy slowly recovers and I was just getting used to paying $3-$4 a gallon.
At least it eases the stress of managing all the other fee increases we pay. Just got my license renewal notice for $75. Wasn’t that long ago that it was $25.

Correction!! The prices I reported were for E85.
I did pay $2.14 9/10 today though.
11/08/2008 at 1:04 am #1759713Saw 2.15 today 11/7/2008 in Appleton and couldn’t beleive my eyes.
11/08/2008 at 1:52 am #1759714$2.13 in some spots here in Milwaukee
