I was going to comment on the exact same thing yesterday. It’s not like you’re giving out credit card numbers, Social Security numbers or ATM pins.

I was being lazy and those were the only numbers I remembered! 😛

06/06/2010 at 3:11 pm #1930357Just to give an idea how fast geocaching was growing in 2001 here are some numbers: Tie’s in August was 19xxx, a individual one we started with in November was 27xxx and the team one we now use from Dec is 32xxx

These numbers are not secret, as long as I have found as least one of your caches, I can get this info from GSAK,
So your super secret GC # is really not a secret.

You don’t even need to have GSAK. Just click on a user to look at their profile page and hover your mouse over See the Forum Posts for This User and you will see their ID number at the bottom as part of the link.

Yep. 41. If we celebrated 10 years of geocaching on May 2, Jeremy isn’t too far behind with September 13, 2000.
