Hey anyone out there still awake—-
Is gc.com dreadfully slow tonight, or is just a bug on my end????
I am having a heck of a time logging my finds from my recent geoholiday to Ohio/Michigan/Canada.

02/01/2007 at 4:28 am #1769521Well it doesn’t seem slow to me, actually seem pretty fast to me!
02/01/2007 at 2:44 pm #1769522I often notice that the gc.com website is very slow. I would hope they could upgrade. I don’t think their servers have kept up with the growth of this hobby.
02/01/2007 at 7:38 pm #1769523I’ve also noticed gc.com’s site being sssslllloooooowww in the last few weeks…
Sometimes I get the “too busy” error and I just go away. The worst part about this is that we’ve been missing notifications recently too. A group of us locals love the thrill of the race to FTF and have been disappointed to find out about new caches in our area that never had a notification.
Being a software engineer I can appreciate what they must be going through over there with whatever it is (bugs or scaling issues??) I just hope they figure it out soon!
02/01/2007 at 8:21 pm #1769524Zuma I think it is just you! Perhaps it’s the cold weather causing your logs to freeze up. 😆
02/02/2007 at 1:13 am #1769525Yeah, it was just me, though GC.com has been so slow at times, I blamed the long delays on their server. Turns out that I was not connected to my high speed internet connection, but instead I was connecting thru my neighbors wireless. LOL. If I had known I could get on for free, I might have not gotten Clearwire.
I recently got Clearwire, which is available here in Eau Claire. Not sure where else it is available. But the speed is comparable to the cable high speed internet that I had before, and it is cheaper and more flexible. So far, I am a big fan of Clearwire.

02/03/2007 at 10:32 pm #1769527I haven’t been able to get on for hours today…..
