This is a fun thread! On a lower difficulty cache, I usually just carry my GPSr, but it depends on the distance and terrain. I have been meaning to clean out/re-stock my pack anyway so this is also convienient! Here goes-
3 Replacement logbooks
AAA & AA Batteries (6 each)
handful of pens
Sharpie (the marker)
Toothbrush (to get the bugs out)
Waterproof matchstick containers (one with matches)
Handspring Visor (PDA)
Spare PDA stylus
2 pocket screwdrivers
2 empty zip-locks
256 MB jump drive (back-up data)
Small LED flashlight
LED Headlamp
Pepper Spray (for mean dogs)
Spare car key
Compass
Roll electrical tape
Pocket knife
Rolaids (roadtrip food kills)
Several Geocaching Brochures (hand outs)
WGA button
Geocaching.com button
MNGCA button
Small spool of survival cord
The DEET and the water sometimes get jammed in there too.
In the cachemobile I have another pack with several changes of clothes, swim trunks, water socks, towel, and shoes.
Glovebox- Spare DEET & TP, sealed in a zip-lock. A bunch of maps which I very rarely look at. I do sometimes print out aerial photos 30-40 square miles each showing all the caches. It helps to prevent backtracking.
Oh. and of course my Garmin, which is in my hand or at my side. (Plugged in while in the car)
