Hello, I live in Markesan, WI now and the director of the local library asked me if the WGA had anyone that could come and do an intro to geocaching presentation at the library. Rather than make anyone else drive out to the boonies where I already am, I just offered to do it. Hopefully that’s OK if I represent the WGA but I felt like I should at least let you all know.

I don’t know why you keep calling Markesan “the boonies”. You’re practically urban compared to most of the places we have lived! Good luck with the presentation!
Hi BeccaDay,
Sure! You can most certainly do a Geocaching 101 class at the library. Do you have enough materials or do you want to borrow one of the WGA Geo 101 boards? If you want to borrow one, we’ll have to figure out when you need it, which one is closest to you, etc.
Please let us know!

I think this is finally happening now after a bit of procrastination on a few people’s parts (including mine). Anyway, I probably have enough stuff to pull one together but is there a Geo 101 board in the trailer? Since I’m housing the trailer, I could grab one out of there. Should I make it an official event? Anyone else in our part of the state have any interest in any of this?

LOL, you’re probably right. It was just a little bit of a shock moving from the silicon valley where you’re practically tripping over everyone to rural farmland where there are more cows than people. We’re enjoying the peace and tranquility, though.

There isn’t a 101 board in the trailer. One set is typically stored in the northwest part of the state and another in southeast. If still needed a presentation, I’ve pulled the 101 powerpoint from https://www.wi-geocaching.com/educational-materials/ and tweaked to my specific audience.
