74 / 164 Solved for “The “G” Men” series.
11/29/2013 at 7:03 pm #1973219That part went quickly for me. It was transferring the corrected coordinates to GSAK that took FOREVER for me. I had to write them down, check and double check and a few times when I was overly tired, I realized I’d entered them into one I’d already corrected. If my short term memory were more reliable, I could skip the writing down part, but it was handy to have them all on paper when we struggled in the field….just to be sure.
Hopefully in a couple more days, we’ll have most of it spelled out. We left last weekend with the E and N and part of M in Men. Minus a DNF or eight! They don’t necessarily correlate exactly from the letters to where they are on the trail, so it’s best to do it all ahead of time. That might be part of why it hasn’t had more action…yet.
11/29/2013 at 7:38 pm #1973220If you change the coords on the cache page and then run a PQ, do the corrected coords from the cache page become those that download to the PQ?

11/29/2013 at 7:42 pm #1973221Good question. Since I already did all that work, I almost don’t want to know, LOL I have to remember to go repair a couple of them that were corrected since last weekend, too. And we have a couple of parts of bonus coordinates to remember as well.
11/29/2013 at 7:57 pm #1973222F2 inside GSAK for the split screen view. No need to write anything down. Gotta love copy / paste. I’m averaging about 6 / minute.
11/29/2013 at 8:01 pm #1973223Ah well….it’s in keeping with our caching style…”we never ever do nothing nice…and easy…..”

07/24/2014 at 12:35 pm #1973228I saw the Colorado one on the gs forums, it’s their caching associations logo I guess. I would love something like that in Wisconsin to work on.

Perhaps our Prez could work on that. I think it’s a great idea.

07/24/2014 at 2:01 pm #1973230Yeah, WA, get on that 😉
Also, completely irrelevant, ZaErrrrka, I am SO excited to do your Batman themed series in Oshkosh with my daughter! She is OBSESSED with Batman and I think she will get a kick out of it!
07/24/2014 at 2:23 pm #1973231Put it on my list…..
Thanks Michelle and Marie. Looks like a great thing for the Northwoods of WI.
In my mind’s eye I can see the WGA logo now…
