Ok for my daughters birthday (she will be 9) she wants a Geo Caching kit. So my wife and I are going to put one together for her. Then on her birthday she wants to go caching all day. So we will be going to Fond du lac. I would like any suggestions for what we should put in her kit for caching.
Thanks Everyone.

wash & dry wipes
bug repellant wipes
notebook,pen and pencil
tweezers to get the log out of some micros
mini flashlight
band-aids
hydrocortisone for insect bites
extra batteriesI could go on and on, but these are some good starters. My bag weighs about 10 lbs.

Dont be surprised if it keeps growing though. I’m surprised Bill’s is only 10 lbs.
09/11/2009 at 7:24 pm #1914091Some cache maintenance items to help improve the caching experience for the next finders, such as:
Plastic bags for CITO and/or to protect log books, TBs, swag, etc., that you may run across that may need it.
Working pens, sharpened pencils, and extra ones to leave in caches where they may have gone missing.09/11/2009 at 7:46 pm #1914092Sharpie, i know that is the only way I can sign some logs

09/11/2009 at 10:26 pm #1914095Wow. A nine year old that wants to go caching? All day?
Must be doing something right… 🙂We actually have two “kits”. One that stays in the car, and the other that goes along to the cache. The take-along one has everything mentioned, but I would add a couple of notebooks and logs for micros. Might as well throw in a few bison tubes and pill bottles. GT mentioned a small flashlight. That comes in handy even on the brightest days. An inexpensive digital camera…
The one in that stays in the vehicle keeps evolving, but right now it’s a very large zip-lock. It has some assorted small containers and larger swag items.

09/14/2009 at 3:14 am #1914100Put it all inside an ammo box that she can use to hide a cache.
