If you are cruising the site, this is your short notice to tune in Channel 6 Milwaukee at 9PM Sunday. That’s less than 1/2 hour from when this is written. Saw a teaser a few minutes ago.

I’m heading that way now!
We just got a call from one of our parents that it was going to be on air tonight. Too bad that we don’t get Channel 6 as we’re in Madison 😛
Hopefully they’ll be able to tape it. And if one of you catch, would we be able to get a summary?

Got a call from one of my staff who geocaches, just minutes from when it aired. A good story, showed a rural and an urban hunt, and discussed regular, micros, and virtuals.
And miracle of miracles, they never mentioned the ‘buried’ word, yeah!
I did not recognize any of the teams they showed. The story seemed to use some network elements, for example, they had a short interview out in the woods with Jeremy Irishe’s dad.
I didn’t see any negative aspects, seemed quite positive.
Thanks to sbukosky’s timely posting, I fired up the VCR and taped the segment. I’ll try to get it digitized and post it on the net within the next few days. Yes, it was a syndicated Fox piece — not locally produced. Nothing really new in the segment, other than they interviewed Jeremy Irish’s father.
I caught the segment, and that’s what really got me hooked. Now to get a GPSr..
Hi Star_Wolf14 and welcome to the hobby. Clear your evenings and weekends from commitments. You’ll be spending most of them geocaching!

I have the Fox News segment digitizd. I don’t want to violate copyright laws so I won’t post it on the internet. But if you want me to email it to you send me your email address and I will do so. I saved it as a low rez file, but it’s still about 1.8 MB.
