Due to some communications issues, it was just brought to my attention that we are committed to help out on a Geocaching 101 seminar at the Ice Age Center in Dundee. The class is from 630PM to 830PM on Saturday 8/6/10. Essentially the program is about 40 minutes of discussion about geocaching and map and compass nav, followed by having the new people find temporary caches around the center. The DNR has their own GPS units, but we need people to come and “chaparone” them around the area. So, if your evening is free, please try to come and help out. The event listing is :
GC2CQAR
Please post a will attend log if you are planning on helping.
Thanks in advance!
Read the note in the Education site about Aug 7th. We set it up about a month ago, and left a note for people to drop by if they are in the area. Jackie S. is aslo going to try to help at the Sourthern Unit at the end of Aug. If she can’t its already set up for me to pick up the gps units for them to use.
I didnt know that I was suppose to set up a Cache Page.
It’s set for Sat night not Sunday.Aug 7th,2010
Ok, I think all parties should clarify what dates they really mean …
Friday is August 6th
Saturday is August 7th
Sunday is August 8th
I’m not able to help (due to my busted leg), but if I was I’d be totally confused as to when this is going to happen.
I’m available and nearby for the event! I can’t say I’m too impressive in the whole numbers game, but I like to think I have experience enough to help out some newbies. Well I’m pretty directionally sound and good with technology anyway.
Do you need any help setting up earlier?
