I’ve been asked by Rusk Co. if there is anyone who would be willing to give a seminar on geocaching probably in Ladysmith. They are very enthusiastic about promoting our hobby in Rusk Co. and would like to help sponsor some event/projects to encourage more geocaching up there.

I would be happy to, but I just burned up much of my vacation time caching & paddling in Rusk county. I actually am looking at doing an event cache in the Blue Hills, but not until next year.

Then again, if the county would be willing to pay my expenses for such a trip….. I’m sure we could work something out.

I’m also good at volunteering other people for things…. as we do have a board member not all so far away from Ladysmith….

I also suggest getting in touch with Crazy4. They are active Rusk County cachers who just happen to owe me a favor.

An event cache in the Blue Hills sounds great–I love that area. I’ll be talking to economic development and try to get something going. They mentioned possibly sponsoring an event, class, and providing cache materials. This is all in the very beginning stages, but we have to start somewhere. We need to get more people informed and then, involved, up in this area.
We’ll see what we can get going. Thanks for the enthusiasm and offer to help.

I have responded to yuppers. I’ve never run a geocaching class but wouldn’t mind trying. I’d really like some advice from those that have done it a lot.

And yes, you are good at volunteering others.
