And of course I wanted to send myself a PQ before I head over to the storytelling shindig soon. Argh! It seems like it’s been short lived, but right now….not short enough!
09/26/2009 at 2:29 pm #1905783I just tried and got in right away. That was at 9:28.
09/26/2009 at 7:00 pm #1905784its down………………
…well at least the main page is….I got in through my profile page though and was able to navigate from there…just cant hit their main page.10/14/2009 at 9:36 pm #1905785👿 Awe come on! 👿
…It’s not like I need a PQ to run or anything……10/14/2009 at 10:34 pm #1905786Yeah, I can’t get any PQs to run either. What a PITA.
On the Left Side of the Road...10/14/2009 at 11:08 pm #1905787Got my PQ at 5:15pm No problem then.
And to think this PITA only costs $30/yr. = Priceless10/14/2009 at 11:12 pm #1905788Hmmm…. just submitted 3 caches with no problems. But that’s not a PQ.
10/14/2009 at 11:15 pm #1905789Got mine after about 2 hours…..
10/14/2009 at 11:16 pm #1905790Got it now. About a 2 hour delay as well. Must be a system burp. Needs a smack on the bottom I guess.
On the Left Side of the Road...10/14/2009 at 11:38 pm #1905791I have not cached for a couple weeks, so have not run a PQ for a while. No need to run PQ’s until I’m ready to go back into the field.
So far of the 14 days this month, I’ve cached exactly one day and found just 3 caches that day, no thanks to Bambi.
Gonna give it another shot at 300 on Tuesday the 20th.
10/15/2009 at 12:25 am #1905792Seems as if some folks were waiting much longer than me…
From a CG forum Mod:
“It figures that this would happen when we (GSP) are all in meetings! The process for new PQs did indeed go down, but it has been restarted. There is only a small backlog, so you should see them shortly.
Sorry for the problems and thanks for your patience!”
“Patience” though…really? I lost that about 20 or so site outages ago.
(Sorry for the negativity) (Don’t mean to harsh any mellows)
10/18/2009 at 2:19 pm #1905793Nobody feed the chipmunks this morning????
11/04/2009 at 8:07 pm #1905794Geocaching.com is temporarily down for maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience that this might cause.
As of 2:07pm.
sighs.
Just when I was gonna run a pq for this weekend’s caching in Oconto. Well, I can still do it. Just won’t have updated logs in my PDA.
11/04/2009 at 8:42 pm #1905795shocking I know…the GC forums are very slow too….should clear up soon though…I hope. They are getting stuff moved around and may have forgotten to feed the hamsters.
11/05/2009 at 2:13 am #1905796Nope, there’s a release notes post for another new website release.
This one was an intentional downtime window to release new code.
One of the “biggies” I see there is they added attributes to PQ and the GPX file which the release notes thread says will be supported by the iPhone v3 app that was uploaded to apple’s store today.
