I may not have noticed before, but are the snowshoe and cross country ski icons new for attributes?
12/15/2010 at 4:33 pm #1940408They were present when I placed a cache on November 28th. In fact I included them on another one of my caches at that time. Anything to get those cachers out during the winter months into a beautiful area!
12/15/2010 at 9:18 pm #1940409I don’t see a release notes post in the forums. There may be one hidden somewhere or they may not have made any actual website changes. The wording on the announcement made it sound like it was mostly a hardware/performance upgrade.
12/15/2010 at 10:50 pm #1940410According to some discussion on the groundspeak forums http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=265356, there is a gc.com facebook posting that is quoted something like this:
On geocaching.com’s facebook page they say:
“When this infrastructure upgrade is finished security and site performance will be enhanced. There won’t be visible changes YET. The upgrade sets the stage for the Geocaching.com release next Tuesday. Hold onto your hats. Major – and amazing – new functions!”12/15/2010 at 11:25 pm #1940411I saw a beta of their new maps (youtube) that might be showing up soon. I’ve also heard rumors of some sort of cacher statistics…
12/15/2010 at 11:34 pm #1940412From Twitter…
Geocaching.com behind-the-scenes upgrade complete! Here’s a video tease for your Tues release http://bit.ly/ezAX4n (beta map)

12/16/2010 at 2:04 am #1940414is anyone having a problem with their pocket query failing…it shows the query ran but I get no information with it…well not with the 1,000 file anyway.
12/16/2010 at 2:04 am #1940415Saw this buried in a response to the facebook status of gc: http://firennice.squarespace.com/ If this is true it should be a very interesting site for awhile to learn.
