That mirror thingie, a retractable magnet thing and a mess of GPSr units. Many containers of assorted types. The rest of our arsenal we had as a result of HBC (hobbies before caching).

Found they work really well for teeny-tiny tick checks. 😯

Well there is a use I never thought of for it…

Hmmm, Where exactly are ya lookin for those ticks?? lol 😉

Maybe your next purchase should be a pair of pants to wear while in the woods?

Pants and deet are no guarantee against them….just ask Trekkin. It hasn’t helped him.

What’s with all the people wearing no pants while caching? I hope it’s only a summer thing or you’re problems will be more that ticks.

Several of the aforementioned tools; a PalmTX, which is now retired in favor of an iPod Touch and Geosphere App (we haven’t gone the smartphone route….yet); the usual rubber boots and other outdoor clothing stuff; many rolls of camo duct tape and cans of camo spray paint; other assorted gear such as headlamps and such were from camping and other noncaching pursuits.

A bulk purchase of Duct Tape, too, for taping up our pant legs to our boots when going into the worst places during the worst times. Still need to get a tick-flicker, though. 😉
