Anyone else watching this thread on Geocaching.com discussion board? http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=91240

I like this idea, and would love to do it.

We have allready assisted a new cacher from my area that found me in the search and emailed me for assistance in getting started. So wife and I met them one evening and gave them alittle class on thier GPS and off to a couple easy caches in the area. So now we have another new cacher in WI.

Ouch watch where your bumping, that hurt!

I’m sort of doing this already in the Ozaukee area. I currently have 4 families that want to get into caching waiting for the weather to get good enough for THEM. We’re taking out the more hardy of them this weekend. The only problem is that they’re all word of mouth from me (with the exception of John Robie to my north), so I may need to clone myself.

However, just yesterday an opportunity has been thrown my way from a “public source” in the area, for “mass exposure” in my area … but right now that’s a secret … more details in about 3 months.

We have had it all along:

“Looking for someone to cache with”

Maybe we need to blow our own horn!

Thank you for your reply. A mentor would serve as a counselor or a guide, either online or on the ground.

Looking for Someone to Cache with implies that an established team is willing to join with other established teams in search of a or many geocaches.

      This is probably splitting hairs.

Perhaps if the subheading of Looking for Someone to Cache With would be modified to reflect the purpose.

      Anyhow……
