If the image file is not on a web server already, you’ll have to get it on one. (If it already is, you can skip down to the part about finding the address and adding the tag.) The easiest way is to upload it to geocaching.com in your profile photo area.
– Start editing your profile
– Under “Your Photo” in the edit profile form, click “Choose Profile Image” or “change/edit”
– On the page that appears click “upload a new image”
– Upload the US map image file
Now you need is to figure out the URL (web address) for the image you just uploaded. Get back to the “Choose My Profile Photo” page. Find the thumbnail of the US Map image you just uploaded and right click on it. Go to Properties. You should see something under address that looks like this:
http://img.geocaching.com/user/thumb/36e8cb80-5a5c-4646-9068-0f156974f559.jpg
Now you can add the appropriate HTML to your profile text (Latest News, Biography, Hobbies, etc.) to make the image appear there. Simply add an HTML tag, dropping the “thumb” portion of the address of the thumbnail, like this:

Hopefully you’re able to follow these directions… 🙂 If not feel free to PM me.
