A couple weeks ago, Contasse Brewer of TMJ4 in Milwaukee emailed us stating that she was planning on doing a segement on geocahing for the TMJ news and was looking for a mother/daughter team to film hunting a cache. Since our daughter Eryn (Little Cache Calf) is such an avid cacher and has even hidden her own, Contessa asked us to meet her and the camera man for a cache hunt. She said she was also going to interview another cacher, Socko, hiding a cache and one other person that she didn’t name.

Eryn and I had a lot of fun that morning and Contessa said it would probably be a little while before it aired because she was told they were going to use it as a promo spot and give it extra time. They really focused on Eryn and what kids like about geocaching.

Anyway, Contessa just emailed me this morning and said it is scheduled to air Tuesday during the 10 o’clock news. She said she would let me know if that changes. I will post if I hear differently.

Well I thought the tv spot turned out pretty good. What did anybody else think?

Great segment that put us in a most favorable light. Neat looking cache too!

    Doh!

I’ve been working so much overtime, I forgot what day it was. I was planning on setting the VCR but forgot.

Did anyone tape it? If so, ahem, can I borrow it?

    Thanks

    Fiebag? FieBAG!

No one’s called me that since high school!

Oh well, besides that, it was good!

Wish that some of the conversation about WGA had made it into the segment. But the WGA web site is listed on the TMJ links page!

Ummm… wasn’t that your cache, with the fashionable, and yet stylish camoflage mesh?

    Segment was great. Can I get Eryn’s autograph? I don’t want Socko’s

Great spot. Just made it back in time from Under Where? It did look like they cut a lot off the story, but still turned out well.

It was a good story overall, even though the reporter said GPS units send signals up to the satellites. Oops!

I taped it and am in Waukesha so if Groustales, or anyone else for that matter would like to see it, I can bring it over for a viewing provided I’m given the coordinates and best time after 5PM to bring it over. But more importantly, does anyone have the means of making tape copies of it or an Mpeg on a CD? I’m thinking this would be a great PR handout to federal, state and local officials.

That would be great if someone is able to put it on CD.

I have a relative that just purchased some video editing software for their computer. Once I install the Firewire board, we may be able to copy it.

Steve, I work in Waukesha (3pm-11pm). Maybe you would be able to drop it off some night. Or if you live in the city limits, I could have someone pick it up from you.
