I have been using a PDA for log sheets for a while now. I have used Mobipocket, as well as plucker. I just downloaded, and purchased, Cachemate 2.0. Cachemate formats information from a gpx file into a data base format. There is no need for ‘pluckerizing’. Once all info is in cachemate, the data can be changed by the user as well as exported to the memo feature. Check it out. http://www.smittyware.com/palm/cachemate/

Thanks to Rpaske for this sugestion. I had bought a pda a few months ago but gave up on it because I could not master plucker. Cachemate made all this very easy and we are now paperless. Thanks again rpaske.
I have come across a new problem with paperless caching. I download a gpx file from gc.com and download it into watcher. I then convert it using gpsbabel to us on the gps, pda and Streets and Trips. This has worked well except for the caches placed by Genius Loci. Why won’t his caches convert? I looked on the cache page and he does not use any fancy symbols or logos. Can someone answer this?

The quality of his caches has trancended normal geocaching. You need to download WatcherGE (Genius Edition) to do a proper conversion…
Seriously… Could his extra-long cache descriptions possibly have something to do with it? Maybe during the conversion the description field gets overloaded and it just gives up. I use Spinner and Plucker to do the conversions and have never had a problem.
