I know, purists probably don’t use Geochecker, but we do, and recently we don’t get any “Success” message, just the crash of our Safari search engine. It works fine for the “Sorry” messages, so when we get a crash, we assume that we found the right coordinates. We have also found those caches.
Question: Have maps been recently added to the “Success” pages? That’s when our Safari crashes in other applications. We think we have too much stuff on our computer (fall cleaning time?).
Just wanted to know.
There was always a map as far as I know on the success page. However I think they use the google map functionality and I heard Google updated their mapping (API) functionality not to long ago which also “broke” the geocaching.com maps for awhile too.
Geochecker also had updates and improvements recently. The new issue was most like “timed” with those updates…. I don’t use safari so I am not much help.
No, the maps have just turned up in the last 6 months or so, if I remember correctly.
Purists???!! I like being able to verify coordinates before going out to hunt a puzzle. That’s the purpose of Geochecker, and I believe lots of cachers feel the same way.

I seem to recall someone thought it was “time to wean the area cachers off of the need for a checker.” Can’t recall who that was though.
