I really like EarthCaches so I occasionally visit the EarthCache website. A while back I signed up for the Discovery Awards page and obtained the Micah award for 100 EC finds. I remember thinking at the time that the next level was 250 and it would be years before I got there! And yes, it has been years and I still have another 21 to go. Maybe one more year? But anyway, I was just wondering if anyone really cared about the Discovery Awards. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone else talk about them. Anyone?

I have done some EarthCaches, but I don’t think I have visited the website more than a couple of times. I haven’t done enough to be considered a “level”. I don’t care about the awards, not because I actually don’t care. It is just not a personal goal of mine. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t care to hear about others achieving the levels they set out to. I think cheering on anyone who sets out to meet a goal is a caring thing to do!
