I have a location for the going paperless training. Training room where I work, Milwaukee Valve in Prairie Du Sac, WI (Sauk City or Sauk Prairie may be a more familiar name to some of you, its basically the same town) Approximately 20-30 minutes north of Madison. I will post coordinates to the parking area when I list the event.

There will be internet access, both wired and wireless, so if you have a notebook computer feel free to bring it. Bring your PDA if you have one.

I will have a couple Palm m5xx series PDAs for demonstation, as well as a notebook computer or two. I will demonstate using GC pocket queries, GSAK, Cachemate and Magellan Gold GPSr w/DirectRoute. I will show some of the more advanced features of the combination, such as showing caches along a route. and having multiple lists of caches within Cachemate. I will burn CDs with the installation files for GSAK and Cachemate (and Palm Hotsync for PDA buyers) at the event. no need to request them before hand.
(some demonstration palms will be available for purchase after the event, and I’ll be glad to help anyone aquire one from e-bay before hand)

There are 2 caches in town, 7 within 5 miles, about 30 within 10 miles.

I have no plans on any temporary caches being placed.

    *edit 2-10-06*
This event will be FREE, NO payments of any sort required for the training. CDs with the software will be freely given. No charge for the internet (T-1) access either.

*edit 2-17-06 to remove the date/time questions, it has been decided *

My vote is for the fourth. I’ll be too busy caching in Watertown on the 11th.

    I like 10am. 11 works too.

There will probably be another Going Paperless class on 3/11, in Two Rivers.

There will be edits to this as I get the time to do a nice HTML description, as well as post some additional coordinates. I don’t recall exactly where the listed coordinates are from, I’ve been using them in GSAK when I want to know where caches are in relation to work. They are pretty close, but I’ll get better ones later this week (No GPSr with me at work usually)

I was asked about coin collections…

Yes, you can bring your coin collection to share. There will be enough space to have collections out for people to check out.

I have update the event cache page to include that information as well as reformatted things and provided some other links of interest.

There’s about a 50/50 chance I’ll be there. Sounds like a nice class and a chance to socialize.
