This is a hike I have been meaning to do for several years but it took a geocache to get me out there in the middle of winter on a 7-degree day. The gates to the campground are closed for the winter so this is a long hike, which makes it great! Total time to and from the parking spot was about 2 hours because I took my time and enjoyed the spectacular scenery as the sun sparkled on the ice and the fresh snowfall. If you like Pike Powder Hike you will LOVE this one. I highly recommend it. The final 150 feet is tricky especially with snow on the ground, and right now my footprints are probably a give-away. Thanks, beggymike14, for the excellent geocache!

I’m very happy to hear so many people have enjoyed the hike to see Goosey Venus. This has been a spot that I’ve wanted to put a cache since I started in August. This was a cache that I wanted to encompass what I love about most of my favorite cache hunts. It is just such a beautiful spot, yet it also hides a very challenging and technical aspect to the entire hunt.
